Brief description: Lucrecia's long honey-brown hair is probably her most noticeable feature, kept up at all times in a thick ponytail. Though it might be more conducive to wear in a bun, she dislikes the way it weighs heavy on her head and instead simply takes care not to move in a way that could cause the ponytail to swing about. Her dark eyes are large and set regally in a delicate and pointed face, though the expressions she wears are rarely kind and half the time she has her eyes narrowed. Thin almost to the point of being gangly, Lucrecia has slim hands, delicate fingers, and wears tailored but not tight clothes, a sense of propriety keeping her in skirts though pants might be more practical. Because of her lack of stature--she stands a mere 5'3"--she wears high heels even in the laboratory.
Brief personality/strengths/weaknesses: Lucrecia is a genius, prodigal and proud. Not physically strong in the slightest, she more than makes up for it with mental acuity, and nothing pleases her more than the proper respect and attention for someone so clearly superior to most of the human race. She also loathes her elder adoptive brother Jade beyond all imagining, and will go out of her way to promote his rivals or sway his allies from his side. Jealous and aspirational to a fault, Lucrecia still reviles her brother for outshining her in every way, and her utter determination and drive to achieve acclaim stems from never having gotten any laud for her accomplishments while under his shadow.
Brief history: Born to the Curtiss family in 1850, Lucrecia was a very bright child from the very start. She learned to read at the age of two and showed a surprising aptitude for math and the sciences; by age six she was enrolled at FAIL and excelling at organic chemistry. Unfortunately, when she was eight, her family adopted a boy seven years older than she was, a brilliant boy named Jade, and it all went downhill from there. All her accomplishments paled in the face of Jade's genius, and the rest of her childhood was spent chasing greater and greater breakthroughs just to earn the laud of her parents, but they never saw her past Jade's shining successes. Rather fond of Jade's apprentice, a boy by the name of Viasti who clearly disliked Jade and tried his hardest to outdo him, Lucrecia found herself sympathizing with his efforts, and even went so far as to subversively aid Viasti's continued research in a field Jade had deemed too immoral. If Jade thought it was too immoral, then it most certainly was not, and very quickly she came to view no research as too immoral, if only to distinguish herself from her brother. By the age of twenty she had her first degree; she completed her doctorate and a second bachelors simultaneously and she was almost twenty four when she renounced her family name and chose her own, leaving them all behind in order to work on a secret and incredibly fascinating project aboard the classified research vessel Miranda. Jade, no doubt, would find the work too immoral, but she was missing and presumed dead and he had little call to investigate into it further.
